In the far corner of the classroom was a project. It had a kilo of glitter powder on it, three crooked stars, and the paper used was cut in straight lines -a series of them – making the edge look like a pathway deep in a jungle. Right in front of the teacher’s desk was a perfect folder – handmade paper, straight lines, beautiful origami flowers stuck in symmetry of a military garden. At the bottom of the folder were scribbled a smiley and A+. I moved to the other folder. A sad looking B-. This was in Grade 2. The B- was my younger one’s who later rightly grumbled….
